It’s the weekend and the last minute holiday sales are in full force! Here is a run down of (the best) sales to shop for last minute gifts, last minute stocking stuffers and last minute outfits. (There seems to be a theme here…)
All of the sales are offered in-store and online unless otherwise noted.
Don’t forget to use Rakuten when you’re shopping online for an additional percentage back! (They used to be called Ebates) I use their Chrome Extension in my browser so that a reminder pops-up every time I am shopping on a website they support that tells me the percentage back for that store! (I’ve gotten my husband to do this too so we both get checks or Paypal Payments from them regularly!)
American Eagle is having 50% and Aerie is offering even more on some items; like 60% of sweaters and underwear 10/$30! It’s worth noting that they are also offering $10 overnight shipping with your $100+ purchase.
Anthropologie is having 40% off all sweaters and coats and up to 50% off gift items!
Chico’s has 40% off with code: 93231. So listen, I think Chico’s is dismissed by women in their 30’s-40’s as being for “more mature women” but they have some exceptionally well made pieces – especially if you are on the full figured/curvy or athletic side. I have muscular thighs and that can present a problem when I’m shopping for pants. I recently bought these pants and have received multiple compliments on them each time I’ve worn them. I also bought these jean leggings, and let’s be clear, they are skinny jeans. They are stretchy, but they absolutely qualify as jeans. They are SO Comfortable. I never work at my computer in jeans when I’m home and I forgot I had jeans on and worked for several hours comfortably in these. Also, the wash is absolute perfection. I am a wash snob when it comes to denim. These are the dark wash I have been searching for.
DSW is offering 20% online when you use code: BCCHEER. Did you know DSW is great for deal stacking? Be sure to sign up for their rewards program because they always send out text/email/snail mail promos. Right now they are also offering $10 off select DSW made styles. For an even better deal, buy a gift card now if you know that you will be buying something soon or even later – they currently will give you a $10 gift card for every $50 gift card you purchase and a $25 gift card for every $100 you purchase. Shopping in store? The Geneva Commons Store in IL is giving away a free $15 gift card to the first 50 customers this morning – no purchase necessary. Your location may be offering a similar promotion!
Express is having 50% off everything! (Aside from the rare 60% off flash sale on a single category, this is the largest discount Express offers.) They are also offering special doorbuster deals: $15 Leggings, $25 Jeans, $25 Plaid Shirts and $20 Sweaters.
J. Crew is offering 30% with code: SNOW It’s worth noting that J. Crew has been offering 40% and 50% off sporadically this season, so unless you are in dire need of something now, it might be better to wait for a lower price. However, they are also offering 60% of Women’s Gifts, Men’s Gifts and Gifts for Girls and Boys. (60% off Gift Items is online only.)
Loft is offering 50% off everything with code: SUPER Lou & Grey is even included, which is rare. Many items are also on sale for an even greater discount. For the softest, stretchiest lounge wear known to be man (that can even be appropriated worn in public) might I suggest these pants and matching top. This is the lowest I have ever seen them priced! The magic of these pants is that the fabric/seaming is such that you can wear them styled with booties and a sweater and they look like dress pants. It’s bizarre because they feel like I’m not wearing pants, which makes them basically the pants mecca. I would recommend going with the black if you want them to serve double duty. The other colors are really well done, but they will definitely appear more “lounge-y.” For coordinating tops that can be worn with jeans or dress pants, try this cowl neck or this poncho top.
Sephora has marked down a ton of gift sets and VIB/Rouge members get an additional 20% off of all sale items. (Insiders can save an additional 20% off starting December 26th.) Here’s is what I do: I always use this time of year as an opportunity to stock up on things I re-purchase regularly. I buy them as part of a gift set because between the markdown and additional percentage off they are far less than if I bought just the item on its own. The current markdowns are really good prices and most won’t be around come December 26th. So, if there is something you have been wanting – I would get it now. Some that I use regularly and recommend are the Peter Thomas Roth Mask Set, The Glamglow Supermud Set, the Briogeo Healthy Hair Game and the Christophe Robin Detox Holiday Set. All of these contain full sized items and are priced lower than just the item (even when on sale) would normally cost. There are a slew of sets available, but these are the tried and true that jumped out at me.
Target has up to 50% sweaters, but it ends at midnight tonight! They have really stepped up their clothing game in recent seasons and the new store design gives a much more upscale feel to the shopping experience…which is dangerous…because, you know, Target. I have tried on this dolman sleeve turtleneck and can attest to the fit and quality! (Use the Target App for an additional 5% off A New Day products!) I ordered this mock neck pullover once it went on sale after weeks of coveting and “visiting” it in store. It feels and looks so luxe! I’ll have pics for you when it arrives – I ordered the white and the grey, but will only keep one. It’s marked down to $20 plus %5 off through the Target App and %5 off from my Target Red Card.
White House Black Market is running a 40% of everything sale! They are a good resource for “going out tops” if you are seeking something a little fun/festive, that can still be worn throughout the year or even to work depending on your pick. I like that their tops and blouses are fresh and up to date, while remaining modest and not overly revealing. The prices trend a little higher than I would like to see, so I would recommend waiting for the occasional 40% off sale to shop.
